Bio
Emily Brandt (brandt.emily at gmail) is a Brooklyn-based poet and teacher. She’s a co-founding editor of No, Dear, a contributor at Weird Sister, and Web Acquisitions Editor for VIDA. Emily earned a BA in Psychology, Women’s Studies, and English from Boston University, an MEd from Pace University, and an MFA in Poetry from New York University, where she facilitated the Veterans Writing Workshop. She’s been in residence at Saltonstall and Elsewhere, and is an Emerging Poets Fellow at Poets House. Since she was 13, she has worked in some capacity in reverse chronological order here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, and here. She’s a Leo hitched to a Pisces.
